"NO TIME TO ARRANGE YOUR OUTFIT? WE'VE GOT YOUR BACK!"
Overview
ClosetMatcher is an app that arranges outfits for any occasion. It is designed to save busy individuals time and stress while helping them make the most of what is already in their closets. The design ideas stem from deep research and aim to help people of all ages.
Tool: Figma
Problem Statement
- No stress about arranging clothes when you're busy.
- No mess with your wardrobe.
- Having many clothes can be overwhelming—finding the best combination shouldn't waste time.
- No stylist needed.
- Think you’re not an ‘Outfit of the Day’ (OOTD) person? ClosetMatcher helps you find your style from your own closet.
- Saves money and reduces fast-fashion waste by encouraging users to make the most of what they already own.
Users and Audience
The app is safe for all ages. Users create an account, confirm their age, and agree to the privacy policy and terms before using the app.
Roles and Responsibilities
Researching app ideas, observing necessary content, and planning a simple navigation structure were key parts of the design process.
Process
Initial research included exploring existing outfit planners like Combyne and Pureple. Reviews revealed navigation issues and random outfit suggestions, guiding the creation of a free, intuitive app that meets users' needs without unnecessary complexity.
Removing unnecessary features keeps the interface simple and easy to navigate, helping users focus on finding the perfect outfit.

How the App Works
- New users sign up and select an avatar.
- The system records age to provide appropriate outfit suggestions.
- Themes can be changed using four color palettes: Purple, Blue, Pink, and Green.
- Weather units can be toggled between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
- Users upload clothing pieces by taking photos or browsing online.
- Suggested outfits can be saved or modified to create custom looks.
- Forecast features provide outfit suggestions based on date and weather.
UI Elements
Rounded corners, thoughtful color choices, and clean lines form a cohesive look. The weather screen presents hourly temperatures and forecasts for rain and humidity to give users clear context.

Color Palettes
Users can switch the app theme. Purple is the primary palette—bright, joyful, and calming—while the other palettes provide contrast.

Typography
Typography choices emphasize clarity and readability across the app.

Final UI Design
After research and iteration, the final design delivers an accessible and visually appealing assistant for organizing outfits.
